THIS IS THE FINAL TRACK!!! Fen recorded the track again making it even better than before. She cut it to 3 minutes and added harmonies. IT SOUNDS GREAT!

 

These pictures are potential album cover photo's. Some are taken outside in a field to give it that country vibe. Some photos are taken on a bed with a guitar to show the artist as a songwriter. The rest are taken inside by a window to give it that atmospheric look.  

 The only problem is that these photo's were not taken by any of the group members.

 

I like the photo's with Fen writing with her guitar because this shows her as a true organic songwriter.

We did a test shoot on bella playing the piano which was a success! She was great in front of the camera, very natural. She plays very well and will learn the song over the holiday. We have now tested our band members and we are pleased with them. The next thing is to rehearse the band all together.....

We did a test shoot on johnny playing the drums. He found it difficult to fully relax in front of the camera which is not great but he does have great energy. The only difficulty is is that at times he made it quite commical which is not what we won't but we feel we need the drums because the final track features drums and it is very noticeable. We have decided to use johnny however we will only use quick shots of him so that the camera does not pick up his awkwardness. Worst comes to worst we won't use any of the shots. Its better we have shots of him than none. 

We did a photo shoot of Darcy and Ned for the suitcase pictures. The idea is that she is throwing away these photos because she has probally broken up with him. Here are the photos:

Yesterday Fen recorded the final version of Kiss the Future which sounds great!
I filmed the storyboard then cut it to the final track to give us an idea of what shots work with the music and which shots go where. We now know how long each shot goes on for so when we come to edit the real thing this will be really helpful. This will make us really organised on the shoot day because we know exactly what shots we need. The track lasts for 3 minutes and 7 seconds but we can easily cut it to just 3 minutes if necessary.

This to show what Fen looks like with her guitarist. They had great chemistry and really got on which what we wanted. They both gelled well together and communicated well whilst jamming. SUCCESS!

We met with the set designer today to talk about our ideas for what our set will look like (set idea for the studio (band) section of the music video). We came to him with a picture of what we wanted to it to be like. We wanted it to be like a living/chill out room but not to formal. We wanted to have fairy lights surrounding the walls to give it nice warm feel. We wanted to have cool photos around the walls to make it seem like a teenage hangout rather than a formal living space.

After speaking to the set designer we changed a few things. We are now having a printed canvas of a sky on the back wall of the room. We want this for two reason. One because it will look very interesting and will be good for our stylistic approach. Two most country videos are outside therefore even though we are inside we are still keeping with the outside theme going on.

This means the photo's on the wall will have to go. We wanted to have flowers around the place in the original idea but now we are having flowers everywhere! We want them on the floor and we would like to have petals falling from the ceiling. This will look very nice because of all the colours and we have chosen to put dead flowers in the suitcase so this is now a good contrast. The dead flowers are representing the dead relationship between Darcy and her boyfriend. The live flowers in the studio represent the old relationship as well the future being alive and colourful.

The band will be placed around the room with Fen in the centre. We want the band members to wear blue jeans (keeping the denim look going on)and for the boys we want them to wear shirts which is very country and for the girl she will wear this flower top which works with the flower theme.
